The
notorious philosopher, Ferris Buhler, stated something like this. “Life moves pretty fast. Sometimes you just have to stop and take a
look around.” In our delightful fast
paced world we are searching for understanding, compassion and how best to help
and serve others. We all desire to receive and give love. We are studying, listening, reading
scriptures, helping, and desiring to be second milers in seeking our Savior’s
approval and his love.
What are
spiritual boosts for you? What do you do
to feel the compassion and concern of our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus
Christ? How do you find time and energy
to motivate yourself to do all that is expected of you? Do you just need some quiet time to think and
ponder?
In our
sessions we will take some time to allow you to create a perfect day for
yourself if you had unlimited resources.
We will think about what you desire and what makes you happiest. We hope to let those attending write a
detailed schedule of how to plan a day that would fulfill fondest dreams.
We may or
may not share what sisters have written.
We will discuss what brings true happiness. Is there a difference between happiness and
joy? How do we continually walk in the
light of the gospel? What can we do to
create our own happiness and our own spiritual boosts?
We will then
write a new list of ten ideas we can use to obtain some of our dreams, goals
and desires we created in our perfect day list.
What actions should we activate to build ourselves, bless others, feel
edified, worthy, less guilt, and more holy?
Hopefully,
as we leave this time together we will have created in our souls a renewed
understanding of what to do “In the Meantime” to foster spiritual boosts in our
everyday lives.
